This release focused on improving the embedADAPT meeting framework, with several minor platform support features and bug fixes. Thank you to everyone who requested enhancements or reported bugs.

Major Enhancements

Improved Calendar Integration

Microsoft 365 Calendar Integration

We now have the ability to fully integrate embedADAPT and the calendar or any organisation using Microsoft 365 as their calendar provider.

This gives you the ability to synchronise your embedADAPT meetings with Outlook (& vice versa).  You can:

  • see the availability of people in your meeting
  • see the availability of meeting rooms
  • change the date/time of a meeting in Outlook and have it reflect the change in embedADAPT
  • change the date/time of a meeting in embedADAPT and have it reflect the change in Outlook

Improved Email/iCal Integration

As part of our work on integration Microsoft 365, we have also streamlined our existing iCal integration.  If enabled, this option will now automatically send invitations to meeting participants when an embedADAPT meeting is created or updated.

Enabling The Integration

For both of these integrations, the instructions to enable this feature can be found here.  Note:

  • Enabling the feature will require embedADAPT administrator privileges
  • If you have chosen Microsoft 365 integration, someone with administrator privileges to your organisations Microsoft 365 account will need to approve the integration

End-user instructions on how to use this feature can be found here.

Full-Page Meetings

Currently, meetings in embedADAPT will show the meeting browser in the left-panel. You now have the option of moving the meeting to its own page if you desire more space.

The meeting page works identically to the meeting sidebar - it just gives you more space.

Moving it back to the sidebar is as simple as clicking the ‘Move to Sidebar’ button in the toolbar.

Meeting Pre-work

In many meetings, there is a concept of ‘pre-work’. Pre-work is work that should be done by the participants of the meeting prior to the meeting. It is most commonly set by the organisation for each of the participants to do some reading of material, researching something of interest, etc.

We've had no easy way of capturing this in our framework, so many people were sending this via email or capturing it as agenda items.  Now when defining a meeting, you have the option to add a pre-work item:

After adding a pre-work item, it will show in the agenda as shaded slightly differently. Only one pre-work item can be added per meeting.

Meetings with pre-work will show up in the meeting browser and personal dashboard indicating they have pre-work:

Click on the pre-work message to show a pop-up with what is required.

Minor Enhancements

  • We have moved the location of the personal, team and organisation configuration to the cog at the bottom left of the screen. This gives administrators a central spot to manage all parts of the platform.
  • People's profile images are now shown in the employee directory, stakeholder directory and manage people page.

Bugs

  • We've fixed several errors with permissions for people who are in private teams. For the people who weren't in the private team they were encountering errors in their browser.
  • We've updated some more of our logos to match our new brand.
