This release focused on the private teams' feature, with several minor platform support features and bug fixes. Thank you to everyone who requested enhancements or reported bugs.
Major Enhancements
Private Teams
Private teams are a clean way of having teams that aren't visible to anyone other than the team members (even other organisation leaders). These might be useful for:
- Owner-Director team work which needs to be separated from the work of organisation leaders as it contains sensitive financial information
- Personal Coaching & Mentoring with an ADAPT Resilient Business Coach
- Team Leader to Team Member for performance management, coaching, goal setting etc.
To create one, use the Private Team option when adding a team:
A private team is noted in the organisation map like so:
Or in the team tab sidebar like so:
Some things to note:
- The functionality is identical to a normal team. It has all the features of normal teams such as Kanban, peer catch ups, objectives, assessments, etc
- Leaders will be able to see the existence of private teams (e.g. the team name and who is in it). All other information such as work tickets, meetings, peer catch ups, objectives, etc are completely private.
- Organisation leaders are able to see the existence of private teams to keep a little transparency and accountability around their creation
- Create private teams with care and only for the discussion of very sensitive information. You can keep Kanban boards and catchups private from the rest of an organisation using normal team settings and this is the preferred way to run a team.
Minor Enhancements
- We added the ability to expand dialogs to full screen. Previously the available space for a dialog was too small (especially when writing rich content with images, tables, and videos). This is especially helpful for role descriptions, systems and items. You can now expand and collapse dialogs using the button. Most dialogs support this full-screen feature.
- We are improving the help available to users inside embedADAPT. We have introduced a new button to most pages and dialogs. Over the coming months, we will add more help to embedADAPT to guide you with helpful and contextual information. In the example below, you can see the additional help on the ‘Resilient Business Goals’ page. When editing these goals, the system will show relevant information to help a user complete the goals.
- Our Employee Directory, Stakeholder Directory and Manage People pages now show total and grouped counts for people.
- We are expanding the API for third party developers. This has been available as a beta for some time, and we feel confident we are providing a secure and performant solution. For more details, please see this article on our support site.
- We previously had a standard welcome email for people who are given access to the platform. Now, you can customise this email to better match what you want to say. From the organisation configuration page, click on the ‘Email Customisation’ area.
- We have updated our editor to the latest version. The look and feel is very similar but we have added more options to the toolbar, as well as fixed a few common bugs.
