What is the current performance & health of the organisation? Pick a few questions to focus on the most pressing need for the meeting.

People & Culture

  • What is the current state of our culture and what is the data telling us? Are we tracking the right data?
  • How is morale, engagement & retention trending across the business?
  • Any people risks that need discussion?
  • Are we investing in enough capability to support the future direction?
  • Do we have the right organisational design right now? Any changes required?

Strategy & Risk

  • How is our strategy tracking?
  • Are we executing effectively, or is there friction/drag slowing progress?
  • Any significant wider economic or industry changes to consider that affect our strategy?

Leadership

  • What is the health of the organisational leadership team?
  • Is decision making happening at the right levels (clear accountabilities, delegations? escalations?)

Succession

  • What needs discussion around succession of any of our roles?
  • Which roles in the business are “single points of failure” if someone leaves?
  • Are there gaps in skills or experience that would limit future succession options?
