The seven Guiding Principles that guide the work we do at ADAPT are:
- Build a healthy culture - build organisations that seek to develop high levels of trust and intrinsic motivation
- Design to deliver value to customers - design offerings to deliver value to all stakeholders
- Develop system leadership - develop leadership capability and capacity by looking at organisations as systems
- Develop sense-making maps - develop visual maps to guide and align all stakeholders
- Embrace succession from day one - develop the capability to handover roles in support of succession of the total system, not just roles or ownership
- Challenge power hierarchy which have a negative impact on trust and intrinsic motivation - develop systems that support feedback so leaders can empower everyone in the system
- Promote transparency in service of helping all team members own the organisation’s vision and align their contribution
